What Are Neurology Tests?

Neurology tests assess the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, to diagnose neurological conditions.

Why Are They Important?

Neurological disorders like epilepsy, stroke, neuropathy, and multiple sclerosis require timely diagnosis for effective treatment and management.

Basic Neurology Tests:

EEG (Electroencephalogram): Measures electrical activity in the brain.

Nerve Conduction Studies: Evaluate nerve function and detect damage.

What to Expect:

EEG involves wearing electrodes on the scalp and lasts about 30–60 minutes. Nerve conduction tests use mild electrical impulses. MRI scans vary from 30–60 minutes and are painless but require stillness.
